The Truckroll app was created to close critical gaps in workforce training. Field-based, informal learning is often inconsistent, incomplete, or dependent on who is available at the moment. Truckroll reinforces hands-on and in-person training with clear, standardized guidance delivered right when and where it’s needed. By amplifying existing training efforts, the app helps teams work more safely, perform more consistently, and achieve better results across the field.​

A Bit About Me
I am a passionate renewable energy professional and advocate for transforming how the clean energy industry operates, collaborates, and leads. With over 20 years of experience spanning military service, nuclear power, solar energy, energy storage, and industry leadership.
​
After nearly nine years as a nuclear operator and instructor in the United States Navy, I transitioned into the renewable sector, developing NABCEP-certified installation and operations training for inverter manufacturers Power-One and ABB. I then joined First Solar, where he built procedures, policies, and training standards that became foundational for the company’s Operations and Maintenance division.
Driven to expand my leadership into broader business operations, I managed regional operations in the Southwest for residential and small commercial solar portfolios before returning to my true passion - utility-scale renewables.

As Director of Solar Operations at Duke Energy, I oversaw performance and budgets across a growing fleet of assets, while engaging deeply in financial modeling, bidding, and long-term portfolio strategy.

Frustrated by seeing solar curtailed due to grid constraints, I decided to join Fluence to help accelerate the adoption of battery energy storage as a tool for grid reliability and system resilience. This experience reinforced my belief that technology alone isn’t enough - the industry must evolve its business models, incentives, and leadership approaches to achieve sustainable growth.
Later, at the American Clean Power Association (ACP), I helped advance industry-wide standards for solar, wind, and storage - building bridges across traditionally siloed sectors.

After training, consulting and leading teams across the US and around the world my passion for the industry’s workforce continued to grow. It is with that inspiration that I created the Truckroll app.
